Rationale for revision
The description of ieee8021XAuthPaeReAuthEnabled says it should always return ‘false’. This object is used to enable and disable periodic reauthentication, but if it is always ‘false’, how can a manager know if periodic reauthentication is enabled or disabled?
Proposed text
Omit the requirement to always return ‘false’: ieee8021XAuthPaeReAuthEnabled OBJECT-TYPE SYNTAX TruthValue MAX-ACCESS read-write STATUS current DESCRIPTION “This object is set ‘true’ if PACP should initiate reauthentication periodically, ‘false’ otherwise.” REFERENCE “IEEE 802.1X Clause 8.9, Figure 12-3” ::= { ieee8021XAuthenticatorEntry 4 }
