Requested revision
Standard: | 802.1CB-2017 | Clause: | 7.4.3.4 |
Clause title: | VectorRecoveryAlgorithm |
Rationale for revision
There is an incorrect reference to the size of the recovery window (±frerSeqRcvyHistoryLength). The correct reference is { RecovSeqNum + frerSeqRcvyHistoryLength ; ... ; RecovSeqNum - frerSeqRcvyHistoryLength + 1 }. The correct window parameters are used in the rest of the standard, e.g., in 7.4.3.2.2 SequenceHistory.
Proposed text
Action-1: Change the text to "... call subsequent packets that are in the recovery window (i.e., last packet number accepted + frerSeqRcvyHistoryLength and last packet number accepted + frerSeqRcvyHistoryLength -1) are accepted, and ..." Action-2: Change item a) to ""Rogue" packets, meaning packets outside the recovery window, are discarded as invalid."
Impact on existing networks
None. It is just "understood" by those that worked on the standard.
