Requested revision
Standard: | IEEE Std 802.1AS-2020 | Clause: | 11.2.19.4 |
Clause title: | State diagram |
Rationale for revision
In the WAITING_FOR_PDELAY_INTERVAL_TIMER state of the MDPdelayReq state machine (Figure 11-9), the if block that follows the “if (!asymmetryMeasurementMode)” statement does not have a close curly brace (i.e., “}”). This makes it appear to the reader that possibly part of the pseudo-code in the state is missing. Inspection of the state machine indicates that only the close curly brace is missing.
Proposed text
Add a close curly brace on a new line just after the final line of the existing text in the WAITING_FOR_PDELAY_INTERVAL_TIMER state of the MDPdelayReq state machine.
Impact on existing networks
This corrects a typo in pseudo-code. Assuming that implementers have implemented the feature correctly (i.e., an implementer realizes the error and makes the correction), there is no impact on existing networks.
