2018-11-05 6 Nov 2018 Concall Current 802.1 Assigned Numbers are listed in the public files area under public/802-1-assigned-numbers and public/802-1-organizationally-specific-tlvs/. There are currently no registries of ECP code points and these should be added as a result of this maintenance request. LLDP TLVs for LRP and other future requests have been added to http://www.ieee802.org/1/files/public/802-1-organizationally-specific-tlvs/IEEE-802-1-organizationally-specific-TLVs-for-LLDP-2018-09-14.xlsx Technical experts review
2018-11-06 6 Nov 2018 Concall There was concern expressed about having the ECP code point listed in 3 places; 802.1Q, 802.1CS and a new xls in the assigned-numbers directory on the 802.1 file server. It was agreed that it MUST be in 802.1CS and should not be in 802.1Q because it isn’t used by 802.1Q. The xls is desired in order for us to keep track of it and have the Maintenance TG monitor use and conflicts. A proposed resolution would be to create an xls in assigned-numbers and allocate the code-point for 802.1CS at sponsor time and NOT create a maintenance item to add it to 802.1Q Technical experts review
2018-11-13 Nov 2018 Plenary The proposal from the conference call was reviewed. It was agreed that 802.1CS will include the ECP protocol value at sponsor ballot time and an XLS will be created to keep track of this. Since 802.1Q already contains the values for VDP and 802.1BR, and defines the ECP protocol itself, it was agreed that 802.1Q should be kept up to date. A note should be added to the table that indicates the state of the table at the time of publication and all 'in-use' code points should be listed. So, this maintenance item will be associated for the next appropriate vehicle for 802.1Q. In a separate, not directly related discussion, it was discussed that additional XLS sheets or entries may be necessary to track similar situations in 802.1AS. Complete then Ballot
