2021-03-09 9 Mar 2021 Plenary A ballot comment against 802f was made to include this maintenance item. After reviewing each item in the maintenance TG, the proposed changes have been updated as follows (NOTE: the original request was also updated to match this to avoid confusion): The following actions are needed: 1. Remove 802.1D in the normative references (clause 2) list and move the footnotes to 802.1Q 2. Remove 802.1D from Figure 1 3. Replace 802.1D with 802.1Q in first sentence of 5.3.2.1 4. Reword the last sentence of the first paragraph as follows, "IEEE Std 802.1Q adds additional capabilities beyond the MAC Bridge specification including virtual local area networks (VLANs), priorities, and provider bridging, as described in 5.3.2.5." 5. Replace 802.1D with 802.1Q in last paragraph of 5.3.2.1 6. Remove "IEEE Std 802.1D and" in first sentence of 5.3.2.3 7. Remove 802.1D from 5.3.2.4 and change specify to specifies 8. Replace 802.1D with 802.1Q in 8.2.4 9. Remove "IEEE Std 802.1D and" in 8.3 10. Remove 802.1D from the list of informative standards in Annex D Complete then Ballot
