The issue was confirmed and the resolution was acceptable. The ASdm editor agreed to add a rogue comment to the existing ballot in order to include the fix in the next draft of ASdm.
HISTORY:
The introduced typo comes from the resolution of Maintenance item #140 "asCapable hair trigger" (https://www.802-1.org/items/271). The MDPdelayReq state machine change was introduced via comment #51 on D1.0 (https://www.ieee802.org/1/files/private/as-rev-drafts/d1/802-1AS-Rev-d1-0-dis.pdf) and first appeared in D2.0.
As part of the resolution to comment #51 you will see this text: "b. sourcePortIdentity.clockidentity will still be checked separately, and will result in asCapable being dropped immediately if the test fails (i.e., no hysteresis for this test)."; indeed, that is what was done, but with a typo. |
