2024-10-29 29 Oct 2024 Concall Change UScaledNS to ScaledNS for meanLinkDelay. Evaluate adding negMeanLinkDelayThresh: Use this maintenance item from Martin and the text in IEC/IEEE 60802 D3.0 Annex D Page 193 Lines 6729-6736 as a starting point to add text to 11.1.2 of P802.1AS-2020-Revision. 1. Review line 10 of WAITING_FOR_PDELAY_INTERVAL_TIMER state of MDPdelayReq state machine in Figure 11-9 of IEEE 802.1AS-2020: if ((meanLinkDelay <= meanLinkDelayThresh) || (meanLinkDelay >= negMeanLinkDelayThresh) ), where negMeanLinkDelayThresh is a new negative mean link delay threshold global variable. 2. Add negMeanLinkDelayThresh to figure 11-5 in the MDPdelayReq block. 3. Change 11.2.2 item b) to include negMeanLinkDelayThresh. 4. Change the last line of 11.2.2 on page 168 to include negMeanLinkDelayThresh. 5. Add new managed objects for negMeanLinkDelayThresh to 14.8 and 14.16. 6. Review Table 11-1. Set the default to the largest positive value in Martin's description. Review the note. 7. Review Table 11-2. 8. Update the YANG file as applicable. 9. Continue to search for MeanLinkDelayThresh and include negMeanLinkDelayThresh as applicable. More thought needs to be given to the default negative threshold value. Next step: Review with the larger group at the plenary in Vancouver whether it makes sense to add all this to accommodate very short links or misconfiguration of MeanLinkDelayThresh.
